Cool Vintage 1910's - 20's Classic Book Collection from the early Modern Library Series published by Boni And Liveright, Inc., founded in 1917. This set of 4 small leatherette books are a small collection that managed to stay together from one owner from the 20's, and were marketed by Boni and Liveright as "The Modern Library of the World’s Best Books". The company was sold in the mid 20's, later becoming Random House.

Small books measure 6 1/2" x 4" x 1".

Each book from the set minor shelf wear, bindings are tight and firm and there are no tears or rips. The leatherette covers are flexible, pages age yellowed but not brittle. 3 volumes have owner inscriptions. No dog ear pages. Some passages have a few underlines.

Zuleika Dobson by Max Beerbohm, 1919 - 20, BL Logo, Dark Blue Black Leatherette, Spine shows some wear, Gold Gilt good. Light alien writing (owner) and some underlined passages.
