Estate Tobacco Smoking Pipe, France Ropp 89 Pompei, Briar Billiard
Fine Estate Tobacco Smoking Pipe is a France Ropp 89 Pompei, Sandblasted Natural Briar in a classic French Slim Billiard shape. Ropp logo in an oval stamped on the underside of the shank and the black ROPP metal logo tag on the stem. The metal drinkless styled filter inserted in stem fit tightly in the shank. GSH picked this collectible beauty from a Dealer in France!
"89" is a date stamp for 1989. The Ropp brand was created by Eugène-Léon Ropp (1830 - 1907) and continued throughout 3 generations. "GBA Synergie" run by Bernard Amiel bought back Ropp in 1988 and owned it until 1991.

Drinkless Style Filter - metal
Pipehead is in Very Good condition (see pics) and mouthpiece is original and shows only slight chatter. Pipe is uncleaned and is not polished more than you can see, so will benefit from a polish and clean, mouthpiece will need sanitation. The pipe has been smoked but not abused.
