Very cool volume by the Great Director Robert Lewis where he teaches the "vital elements of the actor's craft" and the "entire craft of acting". In each chapter he discusses an element of acting technique and the exercises to perfect it. Covers relaxation to stage energy, improvisation to script study and analysis, auditioning, psychological gesture and even how to take criticism. The writing style is entertainingly written as if he is speaking directly and informally to the reader.
CONDITION: Near fine condition and appears unread. Price clipped with original price sticker adhered to DJ. No tears on the Dust Jacket with good color. Slight finish separation on the paper DJ at the spine top front edge. Blue hardcover is in very good condition. Spine is straight, no bumps to corners, blank stamped title is printed in Gold with no wear, theater masks embossed on front cloth board. Pasted boards show color toning at the top and bottom edges on both sides. Pages are clear and bright with no dogeared pages, stains, foxing and no alien writing. Some yellowing on the front cover blank page under the Dust Jacket flap. No shelf ware on the bottom edges. Slight dust staining on top page edges. Free of odors.
This is a great bargain for this RARE First Edition Book. Please note: Harper & Row is the original publisher of this book .
